Pietermaritzburg

Pietermaritzburg

Pietermaritzburg is a genteel and historic city. Mahatma Gandhi began his legal apprenticeship here. The city is well-served by decent pubs, restaurants, and clubs, some of which offer a "home safe" service to revellers who have partied long and hard. Pietermaritzburg is also a good place to begin any adventure into the 'olde worlde' Midlands region and the Drakensberg.
