Scottburgh

Scottburgh

Scottburgh is an idyllic beach destination 58km south of Durban on the South Coast. White sandy beaches, warm waters and good surf beckon any beach lover. Humpback whales can be seen off the Scottburgh from May to December and Whale Sharks from December to March. The Sardine Run happens in June and July.

Scottburgh is close to Croc World and the world-renowned diving site at Aliwal Shoal. Aliwal shoal is a Marine Protected Area and has always been popular with scuba divers wanting to dive with sharks. Sharks to seen on a dive include Tiger, Zambezi, Raggie and Black Tips to name a few. People with no diving experience can now also get closer to sharks when cage diving in a "soft cage".
